PADUA

PADUA is a shell based LDAP browser/editor written in Perl.

I wrote this after seeing tcldish, a DUA written in tcl that's part of M-Vault LDAP server, of Messaging Direct.

Features

Rigth now (2001/04/26), PADUA only support's read-only operations.

Requirements

PADUA needs the following to work: I tested this against the following LDAP servers: It should work with any decent LDAP server...

  3. Create a online help
  4. Make password prompt's in echo off mode
  5. Define and support a configuration file
  6. Support local files to define the schema of the DIT
  7. Add operation
  8. Modify operation
  9. Tag the result of a search, and apply a operation to a result set
  10. Show entries in LDIF format optionally
  11. Export entries to file
  12. Use LDAP v3 stuff to get the schema from the server
